This 60-hour course will prepare already-licensed estheticians to perform salon microdermabrasion -- specifically, the crystal peel treatment that Lia Schorr has found to be the safest, most effective microdermabrasion treatment choice for use in skincare salons.

The class will begin with an overview of microdermabrasion: how it is used to resurface the skin, creating a new outermost layer; how it can help lessen hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, aging lines and other surface imperfections. Estheticians will learn the proper way to evaluate clients' skin and see what type of microdermabrasion treatment treatment will work best and how to adjust the degree of treatment to both the client's specific skin problems and the type of skin she/he has. Finally, hands-on practice with the highly sophisticated machines used at the Lia Schorr Day Spa will be included in the class. The goal of microdermabrasion treatment is to provide the best possible results with the least possible damage or risk to the skin.
